Well, I guess we’re at the end of this Journey to a “New” Home series. We hope that the remodel will come to an end soon as well! There will still be a lot of work left to do after the house is done before we can fully settle back in.
Post-construction cleaning
Prepare to move back home
Move boxes, bags, appliances, etc.
Restock kitchen
There are plenty of smaller tasks within all of those steps, but we’ll figure it out as we go. We joked that we would have a BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) party once we can get back in, but that might be a real thing because it will take awhile before we get our house furnished again. We can’t wait to host all the things once we get back. What kinds of gatherings should we have? Board game day/night, book club, puzzle day/night, craft/hobby day/night, brunches, dinners??
And then after that, our new journey of rebuilding in other ways begins.
